Emily is almost 8 months old! Time just flies! Here is what is new this month:
Her second tooth started to come in on Friday the 13th (of November), and her first tooth is becoming more and more visible. I can’t wait until it starts to show up in pictures, because it is super cute.
We’ve re-discovered the front carrier. We’ve had some unseasonably warm weather the last few weeks, so Andrew has been taking long walks with Emily in the carrier again. If it’s a little colder than usual, he buttons his jacket around the both of them, and it’s pretty adorable. She loves walking around with him.
Emily is becoming less and less patient with not being able to walk/stand on her own. She ALWAYS wants to be standing and has become less content with us carrying her around all the time. This is nice, because she is getting heavy, but hard because she’s not great at standing for long periods, and she gets frustrated.
She is still in love with the cat, although he doesn’t really let her touch him. However, if it is around his dinner time and I sit Emily on the couch between my legs, George will come and rub my legs asking for food. I’ll hold Emily’s hand so that it rubs along his back as he walks by, and she makes the biggest smiley faces!
She’s still doing great with the solid foods. Her repertoire now includes: avocado (her favorite), banana, sweet potato, winter squash, pear, rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, multi-grain cereal, peas, green beans, carrots, and tofu. We’re adding a new food every 4-5 days, and we haven’t really found anything that she doesn’t like yet!
