This has been a very active month for Emily. She is now crawling effortlessly and pulling herself up on any object that is nearby. We started giving her Cheerios, which she loves to eat. However, she is unwilling to actually pick them up herself and waits for us to place one in her mouth. She also lets us hold her sippy cup for her, and doesn't even try to feed herself with a spoon. I guess we need to stop babying her, but we're not quite sure how to get her interested in doing things for herself.
She's still expressing herself with babbles and squeals, and loves to "talk" as soon as she has a Cheerio in her mouth. We have her 9-month appointment in early January, so we'll have a official height and weight soon. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
