Well, this was the month that Emily finally learned how to sit up on her own. She is an absolute pro now. She first sat up unassisted for a good length of time the week of October 5th. By the 9th, she was sitting for up to 10 minutes on her own.
She now also loves to stand (with our support of course)! In fact, I'd say that she's not happy just sitting, and is especially unhappy laying down. She wants to be up and moving about. No real crawling yet, although she's managed to move a 8-10 inches forward to get her pacifier when it's just out of reach.
She also cut her first tooth this past Saturday (10/24). We measured her as best we could this past weekend, and we think she is about 28 1/2 inches long now. She is certainly growing because it seems like she's outgrowing her onesies every week!
