Emily is now over 14 months old. She is growing so much every day. Here are the new things that she's doing:
- Trying to make animal sounds:
- What does a doggie say? (Emily pants)
- What does a horse say? (Emily laughs, which she thinks is a neigh)
- What does a lion say? (Emily says "grrrrr")
- She has learned how to nod her head to say yes and shake it to say no. So far, she seems to like to say yes more than she likes to say no. Let's hope that continues!
- Anytime she hears an airplane she points up to the sky.
- If you ask her who mommy or daddy loves, she pats her chest to say, "me"!
- She recognizes and can pick out the following animals:
- Dog, cat, bunny, horse, pig, sheep, cow, frog, duck, fish, butterfly, ladybug
- Penguin, kangaroo, snake, seahorse, zebra, elephant, giraffe, toucan
- She now needs to have three pacifiers in her crib overnight—one in her mouth, and one to hold in each hand. She even "cuddles" the extra pacifiers by pressing them against her face.
- She always wants to be part of the clean plate club. You think that she's finished eating, but as soon as you start to take away her tray, she starts shoveling the remaining food into her mouth, hand over fist. It's pretty cute.
