Colors

Emily has had a small speech breakthrough. In the past, she has refused to even try to say any colors besides yellow and purple, even though we know she is perfectly capable of making the appropriate sounds. On Sunday, however, I once again tried to get her to say blue, and all of a sudden, she busted out with "bo-bo". Then, on Monday, when I asked her what color a green lego was, she said "grah-grah". And it gets better: on Tuesday, she started saying "rah-rah-rah-rah" for red. No, these are not real words, but they at least start with the correct letter, and she's consistent in using them. So, I'll take it! Maybe there is hope yet that she will one day speak!

As of Wednesday, she is now saying "pee-pee" for pink!
