Another exhausting week. Emily is still sick and we are still getting up multiple times in the middle of the night to change her. On top of that, both our television and refrigerator broke this week. We were without the TV for 6 days and without a fridge for 5.5 days—it finally got fixed today. Since it’s now been two weeks since Emily’s bowel problems started, I took her to the doctor today. The doctor said that it is probably just a virus that is taking a while to get over. Not much we can do. However, she did say that we can go ahead and start solids, as they may help solidify other things, if you catch my drift. So, we’ll be trying the rice cereal again on Saturday.
The major “development” this week is that Emily is suddenly VERY interested in our cat, George. We used to hold her up to him and she would act like she couldn’t even see him. Now, her eyes are just glued to him every time they’re in the same room and she really wants to touch him. George is not a cat that likes to be touched, so I see some conflict in the future. I’m hoping that he will tolerate her…
